Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled technician in South Portland, ME to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You will work with Penske’s tools, log repairs, and assist with diagnostics to keep customers on the road.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with second shift. We provide extensive training, safety policies, and opportunities for advancement in a stable, well‑structured environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools; must follow safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers
• Log, research, and complete repairs using Penske tools; basic diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor
