Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Bangor, ME on the 2nd shift. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our diverse fleet, using Penske’s tools and technologies to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to solve problems and use tools.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
  • DOT/OSHA safety compliance required.
  • Willingness to work required schedule and location; travel for training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for customers.
  • Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
  • Performing preventative maintenance repairs, like tire rotation and lubrication, and some electrical/cooling system work.
  • Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching.
  • Willingness to take on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
