Job summary

DATTCO is seeking a full-time Diesel Technician at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Cranston, RI. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, road calls, and paperwork for repairs on a large fleet.

Qualifications include high school diploma or trade school, CDL eligibility, ASE certifications, and good English communication. Training provided; benefits include health/dental, 401k, and paid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Training or experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Driver’s license.
• Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license.
• Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications.
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
• Makes road calls
• Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor
