Job summary

DATTCO is hiring a full-time Diesel Technician for its School Bus Fleet Maintenance in Connecticut. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including road calls.

A high school diploma or trade school, at least one year of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and physical ability are required. We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Driver’s license.
• Possess the physical strength to safely perform all required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Make road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.
