Job summary

DATTCO is hiring a full-time Diesel Technician for our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Cranston, RI. This role supports preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles, with opportunities for ASE certification and career growth.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or trade schooling, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Training or experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Driver's license; CDL eligibility.
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
• Makes road calls
• Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor
