Job summary

Swift Transportation in Lathrop, CA is hiring immediately for Diesel Mechanics. Location: 901 D'Arcy Parkway, Lathrop, CA 95330. Pay ranges from $26 to $32 per hour depending on experience.

Shift is Tuesday through Saturday, 6 AM to 2 PM. The team offers a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing OEM training. Requirements include a valid driver's license, a comprehensive background check, and a pre-employment hair drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company equipment including tractors and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance to OEM, DOT, Swift specifications.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs on equipment components.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble heavy truck and trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance including repairs, analysis and identification.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do as a Diesel Mechanic

Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
