Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic in Hobbs, NM. The role performs heavy-duty mechanical repairs under supervision and participates in a development program to reach Service Journeyman status.

You will gain experience with engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, brakes and general maintenance, with on-site training and a focus on safety. This position offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical repairs under supervision.
• Gains experience on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, and maintenance.
• Works on major components with supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains neat and orderly workspace and proper tool handling.
• Advises Shop Foreman on additional repair work.
• Follows safety practices and uses required safety equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
