Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty truck repair under general supervision. On-the-job training is provided in a development program to achieve service technician status.

The role requires hands-on experience, CDL preferred, and certifications in A/C, Brake, and DOT inspection. Eligible candidates enjoy benefits, paid time off, 401k with match, and opportunities for internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• CDL preferred.
• Requires A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience in motor overhaul, fuel, electrical, transmissions, cooling, brakes, and maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat, orderly workspace and proper use of tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if extra repair work is needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
