Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under supervision. Training is provided through a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status.

The role involves engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, and general maintenance, with opportunities for on-the-job training and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-ups and general maintenance.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safety practices and uses safety equipment.
