Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) is North America a leading Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing operation. We are seeking a Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under general supervision and participate in our development program to achieve Service Journeyman status.

You will work on engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, and other major components, attend training sessions, maintain a clean workspace, and coordinate with the

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical duties on heavy-duty equipment.
• Work on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Attend training sessions and meetings.
• Maintain a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advise the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures, use safety equipment, seek assistance when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education
