Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group, seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under supervision and receive on-the-job training to achieve Service Journeyman status. Responsibilities include engine and system work, safety-focused practices, and collaborative work with the Shop Foreman.

The role requires CDL (preferred), multiple certifications, and orderly tool handling while maintaining a productive

Qualifications

• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience by working on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up and general maintenance.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and uses safety equipment as required.
