Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group. We are hiring a Diesel Service Journeyman / Mechanic to perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Technician under minimal supervision.

The role involves troubleshooting, training apprentices, and maintaining professional relationships with customers. This safety-sensitive position requires a CDL and relevant certifications, with opportunities for on-the-job training and advancement

Qualifications

• CDL license required.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications.
• At least one specialization (e.g., engine or drive train).
• Minimum of 4 years' experience or vocational training.
• Must have the necessary tools to perform the position.
• Must have good customer relations and communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment with minimum supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on major problems.
• Works with and helps train Apprentice Technicians.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Service Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Participates in training to stay abreast of new technology.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
