Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) is hiring a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under supervision. The role includes hands-on work on engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, and general maintenance.

The position emphasizes safety, on-the-job training, and adherence to safety procedures. CDL may be preferred, with opportunities for internal promotion and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT annual inspector certifications required.
• Must have tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical duties and heavy-duty repairs with supervision.
• Work on engines, fuel systems, electricals, transmissions, cooling, chassis, brakes, and tune-ups.
• Attend trainings and meetings; maintain a neat, safe work area.
• Advises Shop Foreman when additional repair work is needed; follow safety practices.
