Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC grows, we have an opening for a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic.

The role performs heavy-duty mechanical repair under supervision, with on‑the‑job training to achieve Service Journeyman status. The role requires CDL (preferred), 3+ years hands-on experience or vocational training, and certifications in A/C, Brake, and DOT inspection.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical, transmissions, cooling, chassis, brakes, tune-ups and maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat, orderly workspace and proper tool handling.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safety practices, uses safety equipment, seeks assistance when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
