Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to perform heavy-duty truck repairs under supervision. The role includes on-the-job training to achieve service technician status, with focus on engine, fuel, electrical, and brake systems.

Qualified candidates have at least three years of hands-on experience or vocational training, CDL preferred, and certifications in A/C, brakes, and DOT annual inspections.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Must have necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical duties and major components repair under supervision.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy-duty truck systems (engine, fuel, electrical, transmission, cooling, brakes).
• Maintain neat, safe work area and proper use of company tools.
• Attend training sessions and meetings; participate in job-related training and development.
• Advise Shop Foreman on additional repair work as needed.
