Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) is recruiting a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic. The role performs heavy‑duty mechanical repair under supervision, with on‑the‑job training toward Service Journeyman status.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years hands-on experience or vocational training, with CDL preferred and required certifications in A/C, brakes, and DOT annual inspection. Tools to perform duties must be on hand.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical duties with supervision.
• Work on engine, fuel, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, brakes, and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor problems and follow safety procedures.
• Attend training sessions and meetings.
• Advise Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
