The position involves general mechanical duties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including engines, fuel systems, electrical, transmissions, cooling, and brakes, with safety and proper tool handling emphasized.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical duties and repairs.
• Gains experience on engines, fuel systems, electrical, transmissions, cooling, brakes, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoots minor problems and assists with major components.
• Attends training sessions and maintains a neat, safe workspace.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safety practices and uses required equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
