Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. We are hiring a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under supervision and participate in a development program to achieve Journeyman status.

The role offers hands-on experience in engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, and brakes, with structured training, safety emphasis, and opportunities for advancement within a large multi-state

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience with engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and proper handling of tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safety practices and uses required safety equipment.
