Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. We are hiring a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision and receive on-the-job training to achieve Service Journeyman status.

The role covers engine work, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, cooling, chassis, brakes, and general maintenance, with emphasis on safety and tool handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• CDL preferred.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience by working on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
