Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. We have an opening for a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under supervision, with on-the-job training to become a Service Journeyman.

The role involves engine overhaul, fuel and electrical systems work, transmissions, braking and general maintenance, with opportunities for promotion and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience by working on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up and general maintenance.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safety practices and uses safety equipment when required.
