Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group, is seeking a Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic. You will perform heavy-duty truck repairs under supervision and participate in a development program to become a service technician.

The role requires hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, and adherence to safety policies. Qualified applicants may have CDL, 3 years hands-on experience or vocational training, and tools.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands‑on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience in motor overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, motor tune-up, and general maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
