Murphy-Hoffman Company is seeking a Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under supervision and participate in a development program to reach Service Journeyman status.

Responsibilities include engine, fuel, electrical, transmission, and brake systems work, with on-the-job training and safety-focused practices. The role offers growth opportunities in a leading Kenworth dealership group.

Formación

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Performs and/or assists in general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
