Qualifications

• CDL required.
• Specialization in engine, drive train, or related area is required.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience or vocational training in diesel mechanics.
• Must have necessary tools to perform the job.
• Good customer relations and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment with minimal supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on major problems.
• Works with and trains Apprentice Technicians.
• Maintains a neat, orderly workspace and proper tool handling.
• Advises the Service Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Participates in training to stay abreast of new technology.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
