Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. The Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic role performs heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, with on-the-job training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status.

Responsibilities include general mechanical duties, engine and systems overhaul, troubleshooting, attending training, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred and hands-on repair experience.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or vocational training graduate.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience on engine, fuel, electrical, transmissions, braking systems.
• Works on major components under supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions.
• Maintains a neat, tool-safe workspace.
• Informs Shop Foreman of additional repair needs.
• Follows safety practices and uses PPE.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
