Job summary

Miller Transportation Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician for Miller Truck Leasing in Cinnamonson, NJ. Join a family‑owned, large-capacity operation with over 8,000 trucks, offering comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

You will perform preventative maintenance on Class 1–8 vehicles, diagnose engine faults, service ThermoKing units, and handle brakes, steering, suspension, and transmissions. Shift Tue–Fri 2:00 PM–10:30 PM and Sat 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience as fleet/diesel/heavy equipment mechanic
• Experience or training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel tractors (Class 1-7)
• Ability to obtain CDL with company aid
• Proficient with hand tools
• Experience with ThermoKing refrigeration units is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using company OEM software
• Diagnose and repair ThermoKing refrigeration units
• Repair/replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
• Replace clutches and transmissions
