Job summary

Miller Transportation Group seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician in Vineland, NJ to perform preventive maintenance and reconditioning on a large Class 1-8 fleet. You will diagnose engine fault codes with OEM software, repair brakes, suspension, transmissions, and ensure adherence to warranty procedures.

Experience as fleet/diesel/heavy equipment mechanics is required; a CDL (A/B) or ability to obtain one is needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to acquire a CDL with trainer assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes using OEM software following proper warranty procedures
• Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
• Replace clutches & transmissions

Our Miller Truck Leasing division is immediately hiring for an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician in Vineland, NJ. With over 100 years of experience and upwards of 8,000 trucks on the road, Miller currently operates over 40 Diesel Maintenance shops throughout KY, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, and NH. Requirements

You Will:

• Perform preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
• Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
• Replace clutches & transmissions

You Have:

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to acquire a CDL with the assistance of our trainer
• Hand tools
• Ability to work: Tuesday - Saturday

• Tuesday - Friday from 1:00 PM until 9:30 PM
• Saturday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM
