Job summary

Miller Transportation Group in Mount Holly, NJ is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician to service Class 1–8 vehicles. The role requires prior fleet/diesel/heavy equipment experience and a CDL (A or B) or the ability to obtain one with company support.

Work hours are Tue–Fri 12:30 PM–9:00 PM and Sat 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Benefits include paid vacations/holidays, comprehensive insurance, a 401(k) match, life insurance, and training programs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to acquire a CDL with the assistance of our trainer.
• Hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures.
• Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments.
• Replace clutches & transmissions.
