Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a skilled Fleet Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and related equipment. You will perform PMs, inspections, electrical troubleshooting, and onboard computer work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, compliance with regulations, and performing road calls as required. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle repair

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting.
• ,
• Minimum 2 years' experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Identify root causes of failures and perform required repairs.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, bearings and other critical components.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and roadworthiness requirements.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace and repair onboard computers and related components.
• Train other employees and perform road call services as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
