Job summary

Performance Food Group seeks a Fleet Maintenance Technician to service medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and document repairs while ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with regulations. Road calls and on-site servicing may be required.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and timely communication with teammates. A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant repair experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tires, brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet tractors, trailers, and reefer units.
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform required repairs.
• Ensure roadworthy status with proper licensing and registration.
• Document work orders thoroughly in the EAM system.
• Inspect braking, steering, and wheel bearings; replace parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Respond to road calls as required.
