Job summary
Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician in Minnesota to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting, documenting all work in the system and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The role requires 5+ years of repair experience, A/C refrigeration expertise, and ability to conduct road calls.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5–7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
- Minimum 2 years in A/C refrigeration.
- Experience with PMs, brakes, electrical diagnostics, and computerized systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose/repair fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units).
- Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and replace parts as needed.
- Ensure roadworthiness by verifying licensing/registration.
- Document repairs in the online asset management system.
- Install/repair onboard computers and use hand and power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and refrigerant-related tasks.
- Train other employees; perform other related duties.
