Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a maintenance technician to service and repair fleet vehicles, trailers, and refrigeration units in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, on-board computer work, and ensuring roadworthiness. A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience are required, with opportunities for growth and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnostic testing, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefers) and diagnose basic failures.
• Ensure roadworthy status with proper licensing and registrations.
• Document work orders accurately in the online system and complete required paperwork.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and related components.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, bearings, and other critical parts for safe operation.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil, batteries, lubrication) using hand/power tools.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
