Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension and drive train.

You may perform basic tire work and provide on-site roadside service to keep equipment operating and drivers on their routes. The role requires 3–5 years’ technician experience or completion of an automotive college/technical program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance on light/medium/heavy-duty trucks.
• Experience with multi-system diagnostics and repairs.
• CDL/ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on refuse trucks and chassis.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, air brake systems and HVAC components.
• Weld and fabricate as needed; provide road service when required.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training programs.
