Performance Foodservice in Northampton, MA is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with state and federal trucking regulations.

Responsibilities include documenting work orders, installing onboard computers, inspecting brakes and steering, and performing routine maintenance with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and identify root causes of basic failures, performing repairs as required.
• Ensure licensing and registration before roadworthy status and document work orders in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brakes, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and related components and replace as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, using hand and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
