Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will inspect systems, diagnose faults, and keep detailed records of repairs and parts used, while ensuring roadworthy status and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include installing onboard computers, servicing brakes and steering, and performing road calls as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tires, air brakes, diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and related components for proper operation.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Ensure equipment has proper licensing and registration for roadworthiness.
• Perform routine oil changes, battery checks, and use tools as needed.
• Perform road call services as required.
