Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced diesel technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The role includes road calls, completing work orders, and maintaining documentation of repairs and parts used daily.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a 4‑day work week, with shift hours Thursday–Saturday nights and a Wednesday night shift. Benefit options start from day 1 of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and diagnose basic failures.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and related components for proper operation.
• Ensure licensing/registration before roadworthy certification.
• Document repairs and PMs in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Train other employees on maintenance procedures.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
