Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Worcester, MA seeks an experienced fleet diesel technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will perform preventative maintenance, document work orders, manage road calls, and ensure all repairs meet state and federal trucking regulations.

This role requires 5–7 years of relevant experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Minimum 2 years in A/C refrigeration and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet diesel equipment including tractors and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic component inspections/repairs.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and related parts.
• Ensure roadworthy status and proper licensing/registration.
• Document all repairs and PMs in the system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Train other employees and perform road calls as needed.
