Job summary
Republic Services in North Carolina seeks a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, and HVAC components. The role involves on-site and road service to keep our fleet operating efficiently.
You will work under supervision, gaining experience across engine, suspension, drive train, and braking systems, with training on new technologies and strong opportunities for professional growth
Qualifications
- Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
- Basic understanding of work orders and labor time standards.
- Experience with maintenance on light/medium/heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and repair maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
- Repair and maintain engine, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC components.
- Safely provide road service when needed to return equipment to operation.
- Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training programs.
