Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician C in Morganton, NC to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment. You will work under the supervision of a Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager to keep our fleet running and support drivers on routes with highly capable vehicles.
The role emphasizes basic knowledge of vehicle systems, adherence to SOPs, and opportunities to learn new technologies. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Qualifications
- Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
- ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
- 1-3 years of experience in maintenance.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot faults.
- Valid Driver’s License is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems for preventive maintenance.
- Performs oil changes, fluid replenishment, light repairs and tire changes.
- Conducts visual inspections to identify issues using various tools.
- Completes company training programs and performs other duties as assigned.
