Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a diesel truck maintenance technician in Wetumpka, AL to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay: $20-$30/hr with overtime after 40 hours.

Shift: 10am-8pm, Monday–Friday. Benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days and 401K after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience in diesel truck maintenance and repair.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot diesel truck systems (engine, hydraulic, electrical).
• Commitment to safety procedures and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operational and safe.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet readiness for daily operation.
