Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment, ensuring safe operation. Starting pay is $25-$35/hr with potential increases based on experience and certifications, plus a $5K sign-on paid in two increments.

The role shifts 1pm-11:30pm with overtime after 40 hours and a $3 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
