Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for the Manchester area to maintain and repair a fleet of Class 8 trucks and trailers. The role encompasses preventive maintenance and repairs, with possible welding and auxiliary tasks depending on location.

The position requires experience with diesel engines, AC and electrical systems, and the ability to lift 50 lbs while providing your own tools. 2+ years' experience is preferred; 2nd shift runs 3:00 pm–1:30 am.

Qualifications

• Preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Capable of handling major repairs.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems.

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience with trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues and major repairs as needed.
• Service trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and related components.
• Operate welding equipment per location requirements.

Full-Time Monday to Friday 2nd Shift 3:00 pm to 1:30 am

Job Description:

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Manchester NH. Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding depending on location.

Requirements:

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
