Benefits and Schedule

• Technician In Charge positions pay weekly
• Hourly pay: $36.50/hr
• Certification bonus of $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700
• Quarterly bonus: up to $500, four times a year
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational/technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas/diesel engines, including routine maintenance, diagnostics, electrical systems, and major repairs
• At least 4 years relevant work experience preferred
• Ability to read codes and instructions, computer skills (Word, Excel, internet)
• Minimum tool requirements
• Experience with computerized maintenance programs
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• Additional certifications as required by location

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
• Minimum Tech II to Tech IV qualifications, plus 6 months supervisory/training experience
• Flexible schedule including shift work, weekends, holidays, on-call
• Proficiency in SMO, SBT, warranty recovery, and related systems
• Understanding of unit utilization procedures

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To qualify, you must:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks

Additional requirements may vary by location.

Internal candidates should have at least 6 months in their current role with good performance.
