Join to apply for the Mobile Diesel Mechanic role at Interstate Fleet Services.

Put your career into gear with Interstate Fleet Services, a leader in the fleet repair industry, where we have an immediate position for a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in our Omaha, NE area operation.

This role involves working from home and being on call (no office to report to). You will drive to customer breakdown or work-site locations upon dispatch to perform emergency repairs on commercial trucks, trailers, etc.

Repairs include, but are not limited to, no starts, brakes, compressed air systems, tires, electrical repairs, trailer repairs, removing and replacing hydraulic lines.

You will also be responsible for communicating with dispatchers and customers throughout each job.

Minimum Requirements

• Must live in or near the Omaha, NE area.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (NO CDL required).
• Must have all your own basic hand tools up to 1 inch drive.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic / Service Tech, either in a shop or doing mobile road service. Recent diesel school graduates are welcome to apply.
• Willing to work on-call irregular hours on the roadside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and all subsequent random tests.
• Strong professionalism when dealing with customers.
