Mon-Fri: 9am-5:30pm

Clarke Vehicare, with over 60 years of experience, is seeking a Fleet Mechanic - Diesel Technician to uphold our commitment to safety and customer service. The Fleet Mechanic/Technician will perform truck repairs and maintenance according to factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles, and collaborate with team members to meet company goals. The fleet primarily consists of Class 7 & 8 Heavy Duty Trucks. Use of smartphone, laptop, and tablet technology is required to record all repairs.

What are the Duties?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Repair and maintain the customer's fleet of trucks
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) on all vehicles
  • Perform chassis, engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs
  • Work scheduled day shifts, Monday-Friday
PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
  • Move frequently, stand, walk, and sit during duties
  • Use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50lbs; occasionally up to 100lbs with assistance
  • Read and write detailed reports
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • At least 2 years of truck repair experience required
  • Ability to travel off-site for repairs on Mondays and Wednesdays (must obtain DOT medical card)
  • Diesel Program Degree or Certificate from college or technical school preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Valid CDL preferred
  • ASE Certifications are a plus
