Job summary

R+L Carriers in Baltimore, MD is looking for a Diesel Mechanic on 3rd shift to perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers. Candidates should own tools, have CDL A, and be able to lift 50 lbs.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, with PTO after 90 days and a comprehensive benefits package including employee resorts. Experience with Cummins/Detroit engines and Cetaris is preferred.

• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs as required.
• Assist with welding and miscellaneous shop tasks as location demands.

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 3rd shift 12:00am to 10:30am

Job Description

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Baltimore, MD Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Class A CDL holder
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
