Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at the Milwaukee, WI Service Center. This full-time role involves day-to-day maintenance on our fleet, including preventive maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

You will work a regular Monday–Friday schedule with multiple shifts and excellent benefits, including vacation after 90 days, and access to company employee resorts. Prior diesel experience and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment at Milwaukee service center.
• Execute preventative maintenance and repairs for Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Assist with related tasks on trailers, overhead doors, and lift gates as location requires.
• Weld as needed to ensure safey and uptime.

Job Description:

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Milwaukee, WI Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Requirements:

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Have the abilityto lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools

Preferred:

• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance ofCummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Class A CDL holder
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
