Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a Diesel Mechanic at our Fort Pierce, FL Service Center. You will perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, including preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts where applicable.

The role requires experience with diesel engines, AC and electrical systems, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Tools are provided by you, and 2+ years of experience is preferred with Cummins & Detroit engines. Excellent benefits await.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Address minor to major repairs to fleet equipment, including forklifts when location permits.
• Assist with related tasks such as welding or other duties as needed.

Diesel Mechanic - $27.82 - $37.60/hr.

Full-Time, Monday - Friday - 2 nd and 3 rd shifts available

Job Description: R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at Fort Pierce, FL Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.
