Job summary

Cape Fear Community College is seeking an instructor for Light Duty Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology to deliver classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in diesel systems, hydraulic and powertrain technology. You will develop and evaluate curriculum, monitor student progress, ensure safety, mentor students, and collaborate with industry partners to keep programs current and workforce-ready.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in diesel and heavy equipment topics.
Evaluate student performance and maintain records of attendance, grades, and progress.
Develop and revise instructional materials and labs to align with industry standards.
Maintain safe, organized laboratories and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
Advise and mentor students regarding careers and certifications.
