Job summary

Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC seeks a qualified instructor for the Automotive Systems Technology program to deliver classroom and lab instruction and develop course materials. The candidate will coordinate curriculum development with the Program Director, monitor student performance, and maintain accurate attendance records, including hands-on training opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum education: AAS in Automotive Systems Technology or related field, or equivalent certification and experience.
Minimum experience: at least five years in automotive service.
Preferred: BS in Automotive Systems or related field; 10 years experience; ASE Certification; some teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and participate in instruction for the Automotive Systems Technology program; develop supplemental materials and tests; maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Participate in curriculum development and instructional coordination with the Program Director.
Continuously monitor and evaluate service delivery methods; identify opportunities for improvement and report to the Department Chair.
Develop and draft instructional materials with approval of the Program Director.
