Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking a Part Time/Adjunct Diesel Equipment Technology program instructor. The instructor will teach students in classroom and lab environments with a flexible schedule at the Savannah campus.

Preferred qualifications include a Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology, ASE Certification (T2–T8) and five years of medium/heavy diesel work in the last seven years, plus strong communication and computer skills; teaching experience at a postsecondary institution is

Qualifications

• Five years of medium/heavy diesel work experience within the past seven years.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of students.
• Evaluating students’ progress toward goals and objectives.
• Daily teaching duties including class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Ensuring safety and security requirements in the classroom and laboratory.
• Flexible work schedule hours including day/evening classes at either campus.
